Our attorneys come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but one common theme is that we are all first generation lawyers. What does that mean? It means that each one of us has had to work incredibly hard to get to our current positions because none of our parents were lawyers. In addition to the over-100 years of collective legal experience in private practice, our lawyers have been on the other side of the ledger and have substantial practical experience in non-lawyer work positions. We have worked in factories, family farms, warehouses, production facilities, and retail stores. We have lawyers who worked for the state in a regulatory capacity, as an assistant prosecuting attorney and in-house with a bank’s trust department. Besides our requisite legal degrees, we also have degrees in business, criminal justice, taxation, and political science.
